Contemporary works on paper artist David Fairbairn was born in Zambia, Africa, and came to Australia in the late 1970s. He won the 2002 Doug Moran National Portrait Prize and the 1999 Dobell Drawing Prize, and in 2010, was a finalist in the Dobell Drawing Prize for the thirteenth time.
