Born 'in the bush’ near Lake Gregory c. 1935, Dinny Brown was one of the first people in the Mulan community to begin painting there in 1989 for Warlayirti Artists. A Walmatjari speaker, the artist is one of the senior men of the Mulan community, who puts a lot of his wide personal experience of Men’s law into his paintings. The artist’s country is around Lake Gregory and his principal Dreaming is Water. He is a quiet reflective man whose poor eyesight prevents him from painting a great deal.
