surgeon and sketcher, was ship’s surgeon on the wreck of the Waterloo. The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery has a sketchbook in which Kelfall has painted the landscapes and W. B. Gould the birds (acknowledged by Kelfall in introductory material at front of book).
