Early 20th century magazine story writer and novelist, Lyttelton apparently based some characters on her great-grandfather William Thomas Lyttelton . She had many articles published in Lone Hand 1907-1912 (see index).

Lyttelton is not believed to have been an artist but a lot of her work was illustrated by the leading black-and-white artists of the day.
