Edith Anderson, the daughter of Mr J. Gerard Anderson, former Under Secretary for Education in Qld exhibited a large number of paintings in the 1910 Queensland Art Society Exhibition. Anderson would later become a member of the artistic Boyd dynasty when she married painter Theodore Penleigh Boyd. She is the mother of architect Robin Boyd.
