house, sign and ornamental painter, plumber and glazier, advertised this range of trades in the Empire on 4 January 1851, giving his address as 188 Brickfield Hill, Sydney. He emphasised that he would paint signs 'to every design such as Landscapes, Figures, Animals &c.’ and added that he also made leadlights.
