painter, illustrator and author, wrote and illustrated Crusading at Anzac (London 1916) and A Primitive Arcadia: being the Impressions of an Artist in Papua (1926). Awarded Distinguished Conduct Medal during WWI. Painted pictures of the Gallipoli campaign for the Australian War Memorial.
