Contemporary visual artist, Gerzabek is a sculptor and painter of landscapes and abstracts. Born in Budapest, Hungary, Gerzabek left Hungary in 1956 for Austria, where he stayed as a refugee until immigrating to Australia in 1958.

Gerzabek attended the University of New South Wales, where he studied architecture, and he practiced as a Chartered Architect until his retirement in 1997. It was after his retirement, in 1998, that Gerzabek became a full-time professional artist though he had been painting as a hobby since 1969.

An exhibiting member of the Mosman, Ku-ring-gai and North Shore Art Societies, Gerzabek is also a member of The Sculptors Society and the National Association for the Visual Arts.
