Description

A bride dressed in white stands in a field blanketed with flowers & green. Dancers reach for the sky in a symbolic bid for freedom while a young girl learns how to surf the waves of Cox’s Bazar. This is Bangladesh & it’s all rather unexpected. It is east and west not meeting but rather colliding in an explosion of change brought on by social media’s reach & the hopes & dreams of a new generation. While some images remain routed in Bangladesh’s traditional culture, globalisation is ever more apparent.
