Amateur photographer, pastoralist and agriculturalist who arrived in Western Australia in 1841 aboard the Ganges. He was a shepherd employed by James Drummond Jnr in the Victoria Plains district. In 1845 he married Drummond’s sister Euphemia. Their homestead “Glendearg” is in the Wattening Valley.
