Florence Andrew, originally from Hurstville, New South Wales, was an apprentice dressmaker. She married Ted Crambrook in 1912. Between 1911-12 she designed and made a collection of ties for her (then) fiance.

The Powerhouse Museum, Sydney, holds three ties, which were donated in 1994 by Ethel Neal – daughter of Florence and Ted.
