illustrator and cartoonist, worked as a 'humorous artist’ and illustrator for Associated Newspapers, also as a freelance illustrator of books, etc. In c.1932-35 he contributed to Saga: A protest in linocuts by the Worker Artists , Workers Art Club, 1933 [or c.1932-35] (ML F7741/W) (ill. Coleman & Tanner 106). Eight artists contributed, i.e. Frank Beck, Stan Clements , George Finey , Clive Guthrie (husband of Bessie Guthrie ), John Harvey , Geoff Litchfield , McDonnell & Adrienne ('Kitty’) Parkes . He was also a SORA artist in Sydney.
