Cartoonist and illustrator, did two propagandist lithographic cartoons in the penny anti-Sinn Fein pro-conscription magazine Comment and Cartoons 1/1 (30 November 1917), edited by Joseph Milner Macmaster and published in Melbourne. In one, a giant hand with a finger pointing to a little man is captioned: 'TO AN ELIGIBLE./ Will you wait until you see every hand pointing at you like this?’ (p.7). The other, 'AWAKE AUSTRALIA!/ “The Enemy is within our gates”’, shows a female armed with a sword blowing a trumpet (p.15). Other cartoonists in this inaugural issue were “Boz” and M. J. Perston .
