Aboriginal artist, Geoffrey Ferguson was a finalist in the 2005 Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize with his oil on canvas work, "In Defence of Identity".
Geoffrey Ferguson’s work is described in the 2005 Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize catalogue as “addressing issues of identity and belonging.” His works of oil on canvas have been shown in exhibitions at the Berry Courthouse Artspace in 2002 and at the Ulludulla Guesthouse Gallery and the Illawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre in Wollongong in 2003.
Ferguson has had some illustration works published in The Bulletin magazine and was a finalist in the 2005 Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize with his work, In Defence of Identity. Ferguson has also trained in ceramics at Bathurst and Lismore.
