Architect George McMullen worked in Western Australia for the Public Works Department from 1894-until retrenched in 1898 and going into private practice. He was listed as a working member of the West Australian Society of Arts in 1896. He was a member of the Western Institute of Artists and exhibited with them in Art Gallery of Western Australia in 1921.
