Woodworker, furniture maker and teacher who was born in Germany or Austria. He taught woodcarving at Perth, Fremantle and Midland Junction Technical Schools from 1904-1914 when he was probably interned, with the rest of the German population, in Western Australia. His wife was a student at the technical school in 1905 learning woodcarving.
