sketcher, drew comic sketches that were published as lithographs in the album Sketches in Victoria , printed by James J. Blundell & Co. at Melbourne c.1855 (copy ML). Sketch in Bourke St, Arrival of the Mails from the Diggings depicts a mixed gathering of classes in front of the Albion Hotel, Melbourne, while Sketch on Sandridge Pier , Port Melbourne, a copperplate engraving printed by George F. Tran & Co. and published by Blundell, shows typical arrivals in gold-rush Victoria disembarking at the Port Melbourne wharves: sailors, a gentleman, a labourer and a group of Chinese (ill. DAA ).
