George W.R. Bourne was a topographical and marine artists whose late 19th century scenes of Western Australia include depictions of Fremantle Lighthouse and the shipwreck of the City of York off Rottnest Island.
topographical and marine artist, arrived at Fremantle in the Daylight on 16 August 1876. He lived at Esperance Bay in 1897-98 and at Albany from about 1900 to 1902. His watercolours include the wreck of the City of York at Rottnest Island 1899, and Fremantle Lighthouse 1902. He also worked in South Australia.
