Gletys (Kit) Haseldine was born in 1934 at Koonibba and raised there on the Mission. Leaving school at 15 she travelled with her sister Alice and other friends from Koonibba to Victoria in search of work only returning to Koonibba in 1950 to attend the settlements 50th anniversary. It was here that she met her husband, Bazely Haseldine.

Haseldine works for the Ceduna Aboriginal Arts and Cultural Centre and has exhibited her acrylic on canvas work in the 2007 'Our Mob’ exhibition at the Adelaide Festival Centre. Haseldine spends her spare time making bush medicine which she brings into the Ceduna centre to sell in their retail outlet.
