John Nixon collected domestic ceramic ware including those by artists working in and around Melbourne throughout the 1950s, 60s and 70s.

200 pieces of individual ceramics were exhibited in 'Studio Pottery from the John Nixon Collection’, Deakin University Art Gallery, 2018
