draughtsman and painter, Sydney. Worked as a draughtsman in the NSW Survey Dept. Married Annie M. De Loitte (youngest daughter of a sea captain) on 12 March 1879 at St Mary’s, Balmain. Had eleven children, eight survived his death on 24 May 1916. AGNSW files: 'Mr Alan Jones (604.9047) owns a seascape given to his wife’s mother as a wedding present.’
