signwriter, banner painter, calligrapher and gilder, was working from 87 Russell Street, Melbourne in 1854 when he showed 'Specimens of ornamental Writing and Gilding for shop fronts’ in the Melbourne Exhibition. He was listed at 106 (formerly 87) Russell Street in 1856. By 1868 he was in Sydney, at 42 Park Street, advertising his abilities in May as a 'sign writer, gilder on glass, flag and banner painter’.
