painter and professional photographer, is listed as a photographer of Smith Street, East Collingwood, Melbourne, between 1867 and 1872 by Davies and Stanbury. In 1872 he was also listed at Hawthorn. He won a highly commended certificate at the 1870 Sydney Intercolonial Exhibition for an oil painting, Green Lanes, near Stoke Newington, near London, for sale at 15 guineas, which he sent from Melbourne and entered in the class of landscape painting by professional artists. He may be connected with the painter Conway Hart.
