sketcher, drew a pencil sketch, Interior of a digger’s tent c.1853 (National Library of Australia, PIC R10846), which the National Library believes to be Australian. There are also other known works. Deborah Clark thinks the number and variety of his sketches suggest first hand experience, e.g. pencil view of the interior of his hut.
