professional photographer, was working as a photographer from 167 Rundle Street, Adelaide, before his death in 1863, aged forty-eight. A travelling photographer from Sydney called Hermann Schröder is likely to have been the same person. If so, he would have been connected with the Danish photographer W.H. Schroeder (Schröder) – possibly his father.
