Ivy Bell is a descendant of the Mutti Mutti and Nari Nari clans of New South Wales. She was born in Balranald in southwest New South Wales. Bell works as an emu egg carver and charcoal drawer. In the publication Tribal Expressions: The Business of Art and Culture in Indigenous Victoria, Harrison, J (ed.), Bell states of egg carving that it is “A traditional art form practiced by our older people according to their customs and laws.”
