painter and porter, showed an oil painting, The Descent , at the 1861 Victorian Exhibition. Stated to be by Robinson, an amateur painter and a porter on the Victorian Railways, one edition of the catalogue suggested it was a copy of a painting by 'Short’ (possibly Henry Short ).
