Jack lives and works in tropical Cairns, FNQ. In 2011 he was awarded the Senator Jan McLucas Volunteer Recognition Award for his efforts and work with youth at risk with youth charities. He was also nominated in 2011 for the Visual Arts Medal for his efforts in strengthening the local Cairns arts & cultural scene.

He works at Cell Art Space in Cairns and has been involved in Festival Cairns ’11 and the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair ’11 along with several freelance projects. His most notable project was The '2012’ Exhibition, funded by Youth Arts Queensland. The exhibition showcased many emerging artists alongside many established local artists. The exhibition drew a crowd consisting of many state and local dignitaries.

As an artist he has had several group exhibitions, Artists of The North, alongside other creatives of the Cairns Art Society. He also is one of many notable Indigenous artists to have donated artworks to the bursary fund created in Thancoupie’s honour. This scholarship is in its first year of inception and will continue to be awarded to young and promising Indigenous & Torres Strait artists.
