professional photographer, was producing calotype (salted paper) and collodiotype (albumen print) portrait photographs in 1858-59 at 16 Bridge Street, Sydney, then at 16 William Street, Woolloomooloo. He advertised in the Sydney Morning Herald on 20 November 1858 that he 'respectfully solicits from his friends an inspection of his Photographs, having completed an establishment regardless of expense, in order to take superior pictures’.
