professional photographer, worked at 519 George Street, Sydney in 1858-62. The travelling photographer 'J. Baker’ who was taking photographs around New South Wales in the early 1860s appears to be the same person. In August 1860 J. Baker advertised that he would be taking portraits daily at Woodman’s Oddfellows Arms Inn, Monaro Street, Queanbeyan.
