This is likely to be a painting in the collection of a descendent of the Mitchells which has the following text written upon it:

“ The lawn is not in my ground
“But in my neighbours Mr ? (Kismol, Hismol, Sturmold )
“Sydney Heads about 5 miles off
“Maud Jesy
“This room is 50 × 20 and 17.5 ft high
“Venetian blinds are partly up to all the windows outside
“Double Bay with yachts etc
