<p><i>Harry Rickards</i> [died 1911] c.James White carved four statues for the Lands Department Building: Gregory Blaxland in 1893, Daniel Henry Deniehy in 19101, marble bust, Sand Captain Arthur Philip and George Bass.</p> ¶
<p>The s
tatue Library of New South Wales, Sydney, NSW (transferred from Opera House Trust collection 2000)of William Bede Dalley in Hyde Park, Sydney, was designed by White in 1897.</p> ¶
<p>James White was commissioned to sculpt Perth's Boer War memorial, <em>In defence of the flag</em>, and was awarded the Wynne Prize in 1903 for this work
. </p>
<p>White may have also produced the bust of Harry Rickards [died 1911] on his grave at Rookwood Cemetery, Sydney, as well as the smaller copy,<em> Harry Rickards</em>, marble bust, State Library of New South Wales, Sydney, NSW (transferred from Opera House Trust collection 2000).</p>
