Jan Senbergs b. 1939

Artist (Painter)

Senbergs held his first exhibition in 1966 at Rudy Komon Gallery in Sydney. Since then, his work has been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions, including a major survey exhibition Imagined Sites - Imagined Realities at Heide Museum of Modern Art, Melbourne in 1994. His work is represented in various national, state, regional, university, college, corporate and private collections in Australia and the USA.

Description

The Special Collections, Baillieu Library, University of Melbourne, comprise some 200,000 rare or historic books, serials and pamphlets and literary archives.

The McArthur Bequest (1903) was the first substantial donation to the University Library, which has been followed by, among others, the Sir Russell Grimwade, Ian McLaren and Clern Christesen collections acquired in the 1970s.
