Printmaker and painter, Janice Bruny's work is informed by a love of the bush that has come from trips home to her father's country in north-west New South Wales.
Painter and printmaker, in 2007 Janice Bruny was living and working in Cranebrook, Western Sydney. Bruny has exhibited since the early 1990s in solo exhibitions including 'Mixed Metaphors’ at the Street Level Gallery, Blacktown in 1992 and 'A Matter of Metaphors’ in 1994 again at the Street Level Gallery. Selected group exhibitions include 'Travelling Print Exhibition’ in 2004 at the Wittstock Museum in Germany and the Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and 'Stories of the Living Land’ exhibited at the International Print Exchange in 2003 at the Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts, Oregon, USA. In 2006 Bruny was a finalist in the Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize at NSW Parliament House.
