Jean Baptiste Apuatimi was born at Pirlangimpi(Garden Point) on Melville Island. She is one of the notorious artists on the Tiwi Islands. She expressed the tradition of jilamara and family on her drawings. Also she initiates herself as a remarkable Australian artist in her own right.
