He called himself 'Professor’ Hawkins. A photographer called Hawkins was in partnership with Baker at 87 Bourke Street, Melbourne, in 1859. He may also be the 'W.’ Hawkins listed as working in 1865 from 18 Madeline Street, Carlton, Miss O’Shaughnessy's former studio.
