Born in 1936, Arthur Koo’ekka Pambegan Jnr is a Senior Elder of the Winehanem clan from the Wik-Mungkan language group of Mukiy, or Archer River region, in North Queensland. Pambegan sculpts 'dance sculptures’ learnt from his father. He has work in the permanent collection of the Campbelltown Arts Centre, the National Gallery of Australia, the Australian National Maritime Museum and the Queensland Art Gallery and has had his work featured in 'Dreamings’, 1988/89, in 'Aratjara 1993/9 and in the inaugural National Indigenous Art Triennial, 'Culture Warriors’ at the National Gallery of Australia in 2007.
