A painter and carver of emu eggs and traditional Aboriginal weaponry, Barker Jnr was taught by his father Roy Barker Snr. A finalist in the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize, Barker Jnr grew up in Brewarrina and Lightning Ridge.
