Painter and decorative artist, was the daughter of a Sydney bohemian, Donald Commons, and grandmother of Victoria Haskins. She supported herself through her art after her divorce in the early 1940s, including china-painting with portraits of the Aboriginal stars of the film Jedda . She entered a pair of porcelain plaques containing portraits of the baby Jedda (Margaret Dingle) and the villain Marbuk (Bob Tudawali Melville Island) for the 1954 Archibald Prize.
