Johanna Parker of the Muruwari people lives and works in Lightening Ridge, north west New South Wales. Her acrylic paintings are informed by the daily lives and cultural memories of her tribal group. Since 2005 Parker has been included in a number of group exhibitions throughout NSW including You Fellas Speak Louder in 2005 at Dubbo Regional Gallery and The Impact of Mining on Sacred Land in 2006 at Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Cooperative, Sydney.

In 2006 Parker staged the solo exhibition, Ngapa at Cooee Heritage Cultural Centre in Gilgandra, NSW. Her work, Milkiri (ant dance corroboree) was selected as a finalist in the 2006 Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize.
