painter and illustrator, John Drummond Donald Banks was born in Millers Point, Sydney in 1883. He studied art under Harry Garlick , J.S. Watkins , Sydney Long and Lawson Balfour , Died Sydney. May have been married to Esther Paterson. He was married Phillip St, Sydney to Sydney photographer Elizabeth Mahony at St Stephens’s Presbyterian Church on 28 January 1928.
