cartoonist, drew a large cartoon for Frank Johnson publications in the 1940s (original ML Px*D69 f.543), “Don’t you feel that some of us are carrying this kilt business a trifle too far, Pte McBlob?” , which shows a man in a kilt with high-heeled shoes and hairy legs plus tight-waisted uniform top with frill around neck. Bice also drew a fat lady strap-hanging with little man sitting and reading in the curve of her back (Px*D69/no.711) n.d. (late 1940s-early 1950s?) and one of two women arguing: “Yer so ugly yer father must have been a cartoonist” (Frank Johnson Papers, ML Px *D69/714).
