John Brack was a painter and printmaker. The First Fleet 1987, oil on canvas 122 × 91.5 cm, Art Gallery of South Australia (gift of the ANZ Bank on the occasion of Australia’s Bicentenary 1988) shows a marble table with wooden hands in front of mirror on wall with seven postcards stuck to it – at the centre is the Port Jackson Painter’s view of First Government House, Sydney.
