John Caldwell is one of Australia's master landscape artists, with more than forty solo exhibitions, twice selected for the AGNSW Wynne prize, & receiving numerous awards including the Art Gallery of NSW's Trustees Watercolour Prize in 1984 & 1987. Australian collections include the AGNSW,Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery, Artbank & Holmes à Court collection. Member of the AWI since 1977 & Vice-President 1981-84.
