Designer and modeller of ceramics. He was born in England, arriving in Western Australia in 1925. He trained for the army, but due to tuberculosis was rejected, and worked as a jackaroo, spray painter, photo-retoucher and designer of neon signs. He was sent to the sanatorium at Wooroloo where he took art therapy. He modelled for Brisbane & Wunderlich and had fourteen solo exhibitions between 1953 and 1973. He won the Claude Hotchin Art Prize twice.
