Born at Waite River, June Bird is the daughter of Ada Bird Petyarre. An Anmatyerre speaker, her country is Mulga Bore, and she paints Bush Plum (Tapalya), Endunga Tichna and Alpira Dreamings. She has been producing batiks since 1978 and began painting with the Summer Project in 1988. She lives at Mulga Bore (Akaye Soakage).
