art student, possibly related to William Wyatt (1838-1872) and William Wyatt (1804-1886), who won the sculpture prize at the 1871 annual exhibition of the South Australian Society of Arts, Adelaide.
Attributed in Dictionary of Australian Artists as probably son and grandson respectively of the two William Wyatts, this is unlikely. Adelaide’s Wyatt Benevolent Institution was founded by the senior William Wyatt because William Junior, his only child to live to adulthood, had predeceased him without leaving an heir.
