Katherine Queama is from the Tjuntjuntjarra people of the Great Victorian Desert in Western Australia. She resides between Oak Valley (near Nadia) in South Australia, the Great Victorian Desert and the Docker River in the Northern Territory.

She paints the bush tucker and Dreaming stories of her people for the Ceduna Arts and Cultural Centre. In 2008 she participated in the Adelaide Festival Centre’s 'Our Mob’ exhibition.
