cartoonist, drew crude cartoons for the Barrier Daily Truth during the Broken Hill 'lock-out’ of 1909 until the editor replaced him with Frank Koch of Adelaide.

[Possibly Leonard J. L. “Leslie” Ellis, who married Adeline V. Yarwood in Broken Hill in 1904 and whose son Leonard T. Ellis was born there the following year.]
