Lamickey Pitt has both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage with his father and grandfather being from Erub (Darnley Island) in the Torres Strait and his mother and grandmother both from mainland Queensland. He had his works of pigmented ink on fine art paper included in the 2006 'Gatherings II’ exhibition held in Brisbane.
